5G Handset Double Data Offer – $0/mth for the first 12 months (normally $10/mth): Available to eligible new or recontracting customers who purchase and remain on a 12, 24 or 36-month eligible 5G device payment plan with an eligible Optus mobile plan. 5G handset double data offer valid for the first 12 consecutive months from activation of the related mobile service. After the first 12 months, you will need to opt in to continue to get double data and pay $10/mth. If you change between eligible mobile plans, the 5G handset double data offer amount will change to reflect 2 x the data inclusions of the new plan. If you change to an ineligible mobile plan, you will forfeit the 5G handset double data offer. Once you change to an ineligible mobile plan, you will not receive the 5G handset double data if you move back to an eligible mobile plan. One 5G handset double data offer per service.
5G Handset Double Data – $10/mth: Available to eligible new and recontracting customers who purchase and remain on a 12, 24 or 36-month eligible 5G device payment plan with an eligible Optus mobile plan. You can add $10/mth double data at any time during your eligible device payment plan. If you change to an ineligible mobile plan, you won’t be eligible for $10/mth double data. If you have opted-in to $10/mth double data and your 5G device payment plan ends, you will continue to receive double data and be charged $10/mth until you opt-out or change to an ineligible device. You can cancel your $10/mth 5G handset double data at any time.
Our Changes to Plans (month to month) We may make changes to your month-to-month mobile plan, options and add-ons, including changes to the plan price or inclusions. This could include moving you to a new plan, option or add-on which may cost more. If we increase your plan price or add-on fees (additional data, international talk & text or roaming), decrease your included data or move you to a new plan, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice of these changes. If you don’t like the changes, you can choose a new plan (once per billing period) or cancel your plan. For any other changes we make to your plan that we reasonably believe may adversely impact on you, we will give you reasonable notice of those changes. See your plan’s CIS for more information.
Optus Choice Plans (month-to-month) You can change your mobile plan to another eligible plan once per billing period or cancel your plan at any time. If you change your plan and you also have a related device payment plan, your device payment plan will remain in place and your device payments will remain the same. You may lose your existing add-ons and/or options if you change to a plan that is not eligible for these add-ons and/or options, and these will still be charged in full for your current billing period. If you need to cancel your mobile plan, there are no plan cancellation fees. However, if you have a related device payment plan then this will be cancelled and you’ll have to pay out any remaining payments for your device under that device payment plan and any device credits or discounts will be forfeited. You will also need to pay all charges, inclusive of those outside of your plan inclusions (including for services or accessories), which have been incurred up until the date of cancellation. This is subject to your Australian Consumer Law rights.
Optus Choice and Optus One Plans (month-to-month) – Add-on changes You can make changes to your plan add-ons at any time. For example, you may be able to add data. When adding a data add on, you can choose for it to be applied immediately or at the start of your next billing period. If you choose for it to be applied immediately, you will receive the new inclusions straight away and pay the full cost of the add-on for that billing period on your next bill. You will lose your existing add-on if your new add-on is not compatible with your old add-on, and these will still be charged in full for your current billing period. Add-on charges will continue each billing period until removed from your service.
Optus Choice Build (month-to-month) – Option changes You can make changes to your international talk & text and roaming plan options at any time. When adding a new option, you can choose for it to be applied immediately or at the start of your next billing period. If you choose for it to be applied immediately, you will receive the new inclusions straight away and pay the full cost of the option for that billing period on your next bill. If you change an existing option during the same billing period, you will be charged for both the new option and the old option (up to the end of the billing period when you changed the option). You will lose your existing option if your new option is not compatible with your old option, and these will still be charged in full for your current billing period. Option charges will continue each billing period until removed from your service.
Device Payment Plans You can buy an eligible device on a device payment plan and pay for it over a selected term by monthly instalments. You will need to remain on an eligible Optus plan for the term of your device payment plan. If you cancel your eligible plan or move to an ineligible plan, your related device payment plan will also be cancelled. You’ll need to pay out the any remaining device payments in full. Any applicable device credits or discounts will be forfeited. This is subject to your Australian Consumer Law rights. Limit of one device payment plan per eligible device and per Optus plan. STANDARD INTERNATIONAL CALLS AND TEXT $49, $59 and $79 Optus plan inclusions for standard international calls and text can be used to the following Selected Destinations: Brazil, Brunei, Cambodia, Canada, Mainland China, Columbia, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Laos, Lebanon, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Romania, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, USA and Vietnam. ‘yes’ International rates apply for excess and non-included usage.
INTERNATIONAL TALK AND TEXT OPTION: International Talk and text option charges begin as soon as you add them to your mobile plan. Charges will appear on your next bill and will continue until you cancel the option. Any unused minutes are forfeited and cannot be rolled over to your next billing cycle. You will receive a usage alert via SMS or email for every $50 of usage outside of your plan’s inclusions (including roaming and premium SMS). Destinations in these options may change from time to time and you should check our website for the current list of destinations prior to purchasing International Talk and Text option.’
INTERNATIONAL ROAMING INCLUSIONS: $59 and $79 plans give you unlimited standard national and international talk, SMS (excludes MMS) and an included amount of data to use in Zone 1 destinations per month. For list of destinations see optus.com.au/zone1. If you exceed your included data allowance then standard pay as you go data roaming charges will apply.
USAGE ALERTS: Usage alerts are not real-time and delays of up to 48 hours may be experienced.
ADDITIONAL DATA: If you use more than 150GB of top-up data on a single billing account, we may continue to charge you at the same rates, restrict your data use or slow your speed to 256Kbps until the next billing period.
MY ACCOUNT: Services that share data may have a service login to My Account which will display all service numbers contributing or using the shared data pool on the account. If you have more than 6 services you may not be able to use My Account to monitor usage or add/change alerts.
DATA POOL: If you have more than one eligible plan that shares data on the same billing account, the included monthly data allowance will combine into one data pool, which will be shared by all eligible services on that account. This data can also be shared with any existing Share Data Plan. Any unused data in the data pool expires at the end of each billing month.
COVERAGE: Coverage availability will vary depending on your device and location. Check coverage at optus.com.au/coverage based on your address and device.
Optional Extras are available on a month by month basis and do not form part of your plan. You may cancel them at any time. Optus may change or withdraw an optional extra at any time and we will try and give you 21 days prior notice of a change. If an optional extra is cancelled, changed or withdrawn, you will be liable to pay charges for the optional extra service that remain active until the relevant billing cycle ends and your plan will continue for the rest of its term.

APPLE MUSIC FREE TRIAL
Approved customers who recontract or sign up and remain on selected plans are eligible for a 6 or 12-month Apple Music free trial subscription (depending on your plan). You must opt-in to the trial within 30 days of activation of your Optus service, or such longer period as we may notify you. If you cancel your Optus service, your right to access the trial will end and you will forfeit any remaining trial time. During your trial you will see a charge and corresponding credit on your Optus bill. At the end of your free trial period, you will automatically roll on to a paid month-to-month subscription charged at the standard monthly price on your Optus bill unless you opt out at any time during the trial period. If you opt out during the trial period, you will still have full access to the trial until the end of the trial period. Limit one free Apple Music trial with Optus per service per Apple ID.
